Short answer
Subscription price is only part of the cost. Add per-user charges, plan upgrades needed for must-have features, add-ons, payment processing fees, onboarding, data migration and training time. Of the five products we track, only Jobber and Housecall Pro publish prices; ServiceTitan, Workiz and FieldPulse require a quote.
The six cost layers
- Base subscription for the plan that includes every must-have — not the cheapest plan.
- Users. Jobber lists additional users at $29/mo each; Housecall Pro publishes $35/mo per additional user on Max.
- Add-ons. Jobber lists Pipeline ($49/mo), Marketing Suite ($99/mo) and AI Receptionist ($29/mo) as add-ons included in Plus. Housecall Pro and Workiz list several add-ons without public prices.
- Payment processing. Housecall Pro lists card processing "as low as 2.59%" and a 1% fee on bank payments. Ask every vendor for its rates.
- One-time costs: implementation, onboarding, data migration. None of the five vendors publishes these fees on the pricing pages we checked.
- Internal time: training hours for office staff and technicians, and a short period of running two systems.

- Price the same feature set across vendors.
- Compare 12, 24 and 36 months, including one-time costs.
- Treat missing prices as unknown, not zero. A total with unknowns is a partial total.
